Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition and placing among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. In 2003 Felix was a senior in high school and signed a professional deal with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The following year, Felix was awarded the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting an all-time junior world record taking 200 metres within 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. In 2007 she defended the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her events.
